She only has one more chance.
Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill have always been open about their struggles with infertility.
And after having their two-year-old son Edward, Giuliana has revealed they have one last chance to give him a biological sibling.
Speaking to Life & Style, the E! host explained that she only has one frozen embryo left.
“This could be our last shot. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that everything works out,” she said.
Giuliana is staying positive since the arrival of her son via a surrogate in 2012. "If I don’t ever have another kid, I have to remind myself that I’m very fortunate to have what I have," she explained.
When it comes having a family, it has been long and arduous for Giuliana and Bill. They went through three cycles of IVF and it was during a fertility treatment in 2011 that Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Giuliana's diagnosis forced her and Bill to put their dreams of starting a family on hold. She underwent a lumpectomy followed by radiation before undergoing a double mastectomy.
When the star recovered, her and Bill decided to use a surrogate and were overjoyed when it resulted in a successful pregnancy. But when the same surrogate, Delphine, suffered a miscarriage in 2014, when she was carrying the pair's second child, they were "devastated."
Yet Giuliana will maintain hope, telling People, "We're fighters. Hopefully we're going to have good news and Delphine will be on board one more time. We've had to battle it out and that's something that we're going to continue to do."
