And the winner of iVillage Food Blogger Idol is...

Drumroll please.

Finally the time has come.

Over the past few weeks, we received so many incredible entries and mouth-watering recipes from our Food Blogger Idol hopefuls. Their challenge was to create a unique dish containing Pampas Pastry, and boy oh boy did they succeed.

We left the final task – and arguably the biggest – up to you.

iVillage, together with Pampas Pastry, are proud to present our Food Blogger Idol winner…

Sofia Christopoulos with her recipe for Mexican Cups.

Congratulations, Sofia!

Sofia's recipe was inspired by the idea of creating something family friendly and perfect for the school-lunch box:

The flaky, pastry and mince filling is a great combination and let’s face it who doesn’t like to eat with their hands? There seems to be some special kind of enjoyment as you pick these colourful cups and take your first bite……first there is a slight crunch then a big hit from the Mexican spice mince which is then enveloped by the grated cheese, finely chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes and dollop of sour cream.

In case you missed it, you can can check out Sofia's entry here.

Just one look and we know you've picked a deserving winner.

Sofia has been awarded the title of iVillage’s official Food Blogger – and has received a 12 week editorial contract with the Mamamia Women’s Network where she will have one post published per week.

Thank you to everyone who entered and voted. We're sure you were just as blown away as we were with the level of talent, ingenuity and all 'round cooking pizzazz.

Our five finalists.
