Lady Gaga spent 5 hours with Julian Assange on Monday night. The singer went to see Wikileaks founder at the Ecuadorian Embassy earlier this week where he has been hiding for more than 100 days. We wish we could have been a fly on the wall for that meeting. How do you think that conversation went down?
This from the Sydney Morning Herald:
While it may seem like an odd pairing, Gaga and Assange do have a connection.
According to US news website The Atlantic, Bradley Manning used Gaga’s music to help him download hundreds of thousands of classified documents from US Army servers, before passing them to WikiLeaks.
One of Manning’s chat logs read:
“I would come in with music on a CD-RW labelled with something like Lady Gaga erase the music then write a compressed split file. No one suspected a thing … [I] listened and lip-synched to Lady Gaga’s Telephone while exfiltrating possibly the largest data spillage in American history.”
Gaga posted a picture of the two of them on Twitter – see that picture, plus other pics of what’s happening across the celebrity Twitter world, below:
Sarah Palin is writing a fitness book. About fitness. Oh yes, you read that correctly. The former Alaskan governor and nominee for Vice President in 2008 told PEOPLE magazine that she’s been busy putting together her fitness tips for a new book.
This from PEOPLE:
In an email to PEOPLE on Tuesday, Palin – who’s known to treat houseguests to a smorgasbord of homemade treats such as moose chili, chocolate cream pies, pecan pies and lemon meringue pies – wrote, “Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!”
Palin, 48, says she will discuss the topics in “our unique and motivating book.”
“We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy,” she adds.
Michelle Bridges, watch your back or maybe don’t worry about it.
