Pics or it didn’t happen…

Not content with bragging about our brunches, ‘gramming our pending nuptials and Tweeting our unborn children, there is a new form of wonderfully cheesy web-based showing off to take part in.

We’ve had the OTT engagement photos, and the pregnancy announcement photos. Meet the new social media pic on the block: the ‘First Home’ picture.

Do you have 863 goose feather stuffed pillows on your English Oak four-poster? Or a TV room with a role-down projector and tiered seating complete with reclining chairs?

No. Neither do we. But these people do. And they’re more than willing to show you photos them. Lots and lots of photos.

TRY THIS: Engagement photo shoots are a thing, and they’re gloriously cheesy.

I don’t know about you, but my first reaction upon moving into a new house is definitely to position myself, with my partner, in the smallest possible space in an entirely empty room and make a human pretzel of our limbs while a phantom-photographer snaps our spontaneity.

Buying your first home is an important milestone. By all means, document it. Take all of the photos. But some of these photos are…er…next level.
