It’s been eight years since former Biggest Loser contestant, Fiona Falkiner was on the show, but she is having a stellar year. The 31-year-old has just landed a modelling contract with one of the biggest agencies in New York.

She’s signed with JAG Models, an agency agency catering to women of all sizes started by, Jaclyn Sarka and Gary Dakin, the former plus size bookers of Ford modelling agency. It was her ‘mother’ agent Chelsea Bonner of BELLA Model Management here in Australia who coordinated the contract.

Falkiner spoke candidly on the Today show this morning, revealing she still had “the same insecurities” even after losing 30kg and coming fourth on the 2006 Biggest Loser series. She went from a size 20 to a size 12 on the show, but now is comfortable as a size 16.

The now London-based model has been shooting with Danish brand Bonaparte, and thanks to her agent Chelsea Bonner and London agency Milk management, has taken over from Hayley Hasselhoff as the face of UK clothing brand, Yours Clothing. The label is one of the fastest-selling plus size retailers right now. The affordable trend based clothing ranges from size 14-36.

Speaking to Sydney Confidential, Falkiner said: “It’s an incredibly rewarding job.”

“I still get messages from young girls who are struggling with body image. Actually, not just young girls, even grown women who say that I help them, which is amazing.”
