Proof that arguments against female sport are utterly ridiculous.

Cop THAT, boys.

Unfortunately, it is one of the most common (and invalid) arguments faced in women’s sport. Why don’t women get paid as much as men? ‘Because they’re not as good.’

Why don’t women’s sporting events draw big crowds? ‘Because they’re not as good.’

Why don’t we see women’s sport on TV? ‘Because they’re not as good.’

Well, Spanish soccer player Brenda Perez has thrown that entire argument out the window in spectacular style. For television program El Hormiguero, Perez, who has played for Espanyol and Valencia women’s sides, underwent a full on man-make-over.

Brenda? Or Brendon?

They gave her a wig, a beard, and a latex face mask and sent her out to play against a group of men.

And she ran absolute RINGS around them.

Watch Brenda Perez’s display of skill here:

She dribbled in and around the opposition, she scored goals, and her footwork proved frustrating enough to force one opponent to give away a free kick.

The best bit?

Undoubtedly the look on the men’s faces when they realised they had just been annihilated by a women.

Priceless.

Brenda, you have just won yourself a new legion of fans.
