The second instalment of the Star Wars reboot Star Wars: The Last Jedi is in cinemas now and if you have not seen it yet you are seriously missing out.

Not only is this a nostalgia hit for die-hard fans who cannot wait to step back into their favourite galaxy, but The Force Awakens left us with so many cliff-hanging questions and we really needed some answers.

The best part about The Last Jedi is that the cast includes so many diverse, kickarse, complex women who occupy the screen right before our eyes.

Star Wars has an incredible legacy of featuring strong, female characters from the-then revolutionary Carrie Fischer’s Princess Leia to Daisy Ridley’s Rey more recently.

And while we’re glued to Rey’s journey in which she comes into her own powers, this time around she’s also joined by Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo (Laura Dern) and Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran, and also the first Asian actress in a major role in the Star Wars franchise) who we’re told will play a big part in the upcoming two films.

LISTEN: Clare Stephens and Laura Brodnik  share all the reasons why they’re so darn excited for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
