The Footy Show's Erin Molan has given birth. With seriously impeccable timing.

The arrival of Erin Molan‘s first child could not have been any more perfectly timed.

On Wednesday, it was announced the 35-year-old Footy Show host had given birth to a daughter – just hours ahead of the first State of Origin game for 2018.

Erin and her fiancé, police officer Sean Ogilvy, welcomed Eliza Emily Ogilvy just hours out from the big game, and we can’t help but think there’s another footy fan in the making.

“Everyone at Nine is so happy for Erin and Sean and the safe arrival of beautiful Eliza,” a spokesperson for Channel Nine said.

“We wish them well for the start of the next exciting phase, and look forward to meeting the new Blues supporter when she is ready. Congratulations from all.”

Speaking to radio’s Hit105’s Stav, Abby & Matt in March, Erin admitted her due date was a little “inconvenient” given the game.

“My timing is horrendous, as per usual with most things in life,” she said, as reported by Mamamia.

“I’m sure work’s really happy with my timing.”

Erin is yet to personally announce the arrival of her daughter, but she had been keeping fans up to date with her pregnancy on Instagram.
