Is Sam Frost about to get a really, really good job?

Breakfast radio may have just gotten a lot more interesting.

There are rumours (that we hope are true) that our favourite Bachie Queen Sam Frost will be joining Rove McManus as a co-host on 2Day FM.

According to entertainment commentator Peter Ford, Sam will be co-hosting the breakfast show with Rove, taking over from Dan and Maz as early as next week.

Speaking to 3AW’s Ross and John yesterday morning, Ford said: “Sam Frost has not only scored herself a bloke but she’s scored herself a radio gig. She’s going to be Rove McManus’s new co-host on his Sydney breakfast radio show which begins next week.”

It was announced last month that Rove would be returning to Sydney airwaves and taking over the morning slot from Maz Compton and Dan Debuf, who failed to keep up with the ratings of former 2day FM power duo Kyle and Jackie O on Kiis FM.

Rove is expected to start on Monday, but Southern Cross Austereo are yet to confirm a date or a co-host for the former host of The Project.

“We don’t have anything to confirm at this stage in regards to Rove’s co-host or an update on the show’s launch date,” a spokeswoman said yesterday.

We’ve got everything crossed that it’s true.

Do you think Sam would be good on radio?
