All the Emmy nominations are here, and one show has cleaned up.

All the notable nods and the horrifying snubs.

The Emmy Awards nominations are out, but with the plethora of amazing TV happening right now, and the multitudes of talented actors, there are bound to be some disappointments.

The cast and crew of Game of Thrones were not among the disappointment though, the show received a huge 24 nominations, including one for Outstanding Drama Series.

Also in that category are: Better Call Saul, Downton Abbey, Homeland, House of Cards, Mad Men and Orange is the New Black, but Empire missed out.

The Lee Daniels hip hop drama is the biggest show on US TV right now, and Daniels had a few choice words for the TV Academy about it.

He hashtagged his Instagram video #canfinallypostthis #timetoberealagain #emmyniceguyoverwith.

Meanwhile, the award for most excited nominee has already been won. That honour goes to Uzo Aduba, who, along with Cat Deeley, co-hosted the nomination ceremony. Aduba visibly jumped when she found out her show, Orange is the New Black, was nominated in the Outstanding Drama category.

She was then informed that she had also been nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, and couldn’t have been more adorable about it.

Also in that category are Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) and Christine Baranski (The Good Wife).

For Outstanding Comedy Series, Parks and Recreation finally, finally got a nomination in its very last season. Also nominated are Louie, Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, Silicon Valley, Transparent, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Veep.

In the category of Lead Actress in a Drama Series, two African American women are nominated – Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder) and Taraji P Henson (Empire). If one of them win it will be the first time a black woman has taken out the award. Also nominated are Claire Danes (Homeland), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) and Robin Wright (House of Cards).

In an excellent comeback: Lisa Kudrow is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for The Comeback.

Also in that category are Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Amy Schumer (Inside Amy Schumer) and Lily Tomlin (Grace and Frankie). Tomlin’s co-star Jane Fonda missed out – a travesty! Anyway, this whole category is incredible and we want them all to win.

Our very own, most excellent, Ben Mendelsohn has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (for Bloodline) – the only actor repping for Australia this year. In his category is Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Jonathan Banks (Better Call Saul), Jim Carter (Downton Abbey), Michael Kelly (House of Cards) and Alan Cumming (The Good Wife).

In happy family news, half brothers Liev Schreiber and Pablo Schreiber were both nominated – Liev for Ray Donovan, and Pablo for “Pornstache” on Orange is the New Black.
