Ariana Grande is sick of being reduced to the men she dates. And she's doing something about it.

She’s got one problem. Sexism.

Ariana Grande has taken to Twitter to share her views on feminism. She is not wrong, and our advice? Don’t mess with her.

Working in the music industry, and receiving a great deal of media attention following the success of hits like Bang Bang with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J, and Problem with Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea, Grande is no stranger to the industry’s sexist attitudes.

But now, she’s had enough.

Sick of the endless focus on her love life, Grande told UK publication The Sun, “I’m tired of needing to be linked to a guy, I’m not Big Sean’s ex, I’m not Niall’s new possible girl. I’m Ariana Grande.”

Grande previously dated Big Sean, and is now rumoured to be involved with One Direction member, Niall Horan. But the singer would very much appreciate it if people stop referring to her as some man’s ex. Thank you very much.

“I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present, or future PROPERTY/POSSESSION,” she said. “I…do not. belong. to anyone. but myself. And neither do you.”

Grande points out that despite currently making “the best music [she’s] ever made in [her] life,” all the media want to ask about is her love life.

The singer also drew attention to the gross double standards women face when it comes to their sex lives, stating, “If a woman has a lot of sex (or any sex for that matter)… she’s a ‘slut.’ If a man has sex…. HE’S. A. STUD. A BOSSSSSS. a KING… If a woman even TALKS about sex openly… she is shamed!”

Grande comes from “a long bloodline of female activists.”

She finished off her excellent rant with a quote from feminist, journalist and political activist Gloria Steinem: “Any woman who chooses to behave like a full human-being shall be warned that the armies of the status quo will treat her as something of a dirty joke. She will need her sisterhood.”

She then followed up with this message for her fans:
