A woman's engagement ring photo has gone viral. And it's for all the wrong reasons.

Well, this is awkward.

A newly engaged woman sent out a photo of her ring to her family and friends. All pretty standard stuff.

What she probably didn’t mean to send out though was a photo of her new fiance‘s penis.

The woman seemingly unknowingly had the ‘live photo’ setting switched on on her phone, so really, this is all Apple’s fault.

She was in the middle of taking a photo of her left hand, when her man – who we’re going to assume also didn’t realise the ‘live’ setting was switched on – decided to whip out his penis and photobomb her picture.

Really? Is this really the guy you want to marry?

Anyway, the couple almost got away with it too, except her eagle-eyed friend Nick spotted the 'live photo' symbol on the picture she sent out to everyone, and decided to take it for a test drive.

And that's when he saw, well... everything.

Being the hilarious legend that he is, Nick replied to her SMS with a cheeky message of his own: "Congrats girl. It's huge."

Then he uploaded their interaction to Twitter, which probably cost him an invite to the wedding, but was so worth it.

"Waiting for my friend to realise she sent us all a Live Photo..." he wrote, adding a popcorn emoji.

The tweet has since gone viral, with plenty of other people also weighing in on the unfortunate photo mishap.

"I still don't even know what the ring looks like," commented one person.

"This is why you always stay for the credits," wrote another.

Somebody else summed it up best though.

"And that's why you never use Live Photo," they wrote.

Amen.
