Synergie SuperSerum+, $159.

Voeu Age Regenerate Anti-ageing Day Moisturiser, $7.

Why she loves them:

"I'm 40 this year, so I want to make sure my skin is as refined and balanced as possible. I have an Asian background so I have combination skin. Something like the lactic cleanser does make sure that I'm keeping any congestion at bay. I love the serum, it's light and hydrating, and I feel really plump and dewy yet I can put something over the top if I want to go heavier at night. I always go for something with hyaluronic acid in it (like the Voeu moisturiser) that's really going to hold in that moisture for me and keep me looking plump, without the oilyness."

Endota Daily Defence Cream SPF 50+ Sunscreen, $85.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Ultra Light Spray SPF 50+, $35.95.

Why she loves them:

"I'm religious with my sun care and I have been since I was 15 years old. The only time I don't use sunscreen is if I'm about to go on TV or do a photoshoot because it has so many reflectives in it. Endota Sun doesn't have as much oil in it and it's for mature skin. My daughter is highly allergic to sunscreen, so the La Roche product is a life saver for her."

MAC Prep + Prime Primer, $50.

Kryolan Concealer Wheel, $72.

Why she loves them:

"I used to prime all the time, lately I'm not doing it everyday, but I do find it makes a difference. The Kryolan is a more industry-related brand, it's what I was taught with in college. On TV and in photoshoots, it's what's going to look incredible. With the colour wheel, there's one colour that gets used all the time because it's used to fight redness. It's perfect for blemishes, sometimes I'll put some underneath my foundation or as a spot treatment over the top. But scrape it out and put it on the back of your hand so you're not getting bacteria in the product. It tells you what to do on the back of the packaging and you only need the tiniest amount."

Mac Retro Matte Lipstick in Relentless Red, $36.

Why she loves it:

"I will get [private Instagram messages] daily with people asking, 'what is on your lips'. This one is good because it's a blue-based red, the orangey ones don't always work for everyone. I'm known for a bold lip, I think it can brighten anyone's day and it can push you in terms of feeling confident in your own personal style."

Blistex Intensive Repair Balm, $4.49.

Why she loves it:

"I love this because it has SPF and I use it as an exfoliant. I put it on then do the rest of my makeup, and at the end, I use a toothbrush to gently rub it off. Then I'm ready to do my lipstick, it makes a huge difference to how your lipstick lasts and looks."

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam, $19.95.

Why she loves it:

"I use Bondi Sands at home - the first few times I didn't like it because you need to work quite quickly with it. It took me two or three goes, and then I discovered the Bondi Sands Tanning Mitt ($10), and that's made a massive difference."

Side note - Emmylou also said she gets her spray tan done in Port Melbourne at a place called Feeling Smooth.

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo, $9.95.

Why she loves it:

"I have to put a treatment in my hair now - I use the Olaplex number 3 treatment you put in at night and wash out the next morning - but Batiste is my favourite hair product because you can use it for styling and as a traditional dry shampoo. It gets you ready for the day, I spray a little bit in my hand with hairspray and scrunch it through the ends, straight away you've got some texture."

Emmylou's Spendy: Ultraceuticals Ultra Replenishing Mask, $74.

Why she loves it:

"I have just discovered this - it hydrates instantly. It's a once a week treatment because it's quite active and powerful, but it's going to last a long time."

Emmylou's Savey: Dove Protective Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15, $9.99.

Why she loves it:

"This is one product that I put on every single day. Whether I mix it in with my foundation for lighter coverage or if I'm using the tinted moisturiser over SPF, it gives you a dewy look, and you're not masking anything, any of your freckles, your face and character. But, you still feel polished."
