Are these the best-ever songs to have sex to? (SFW)

Naturally, I haven’t read the book ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’.

I’m far too highbrow and literary for that.

When I say I haven’t read it, I mean I haven’t read the actual book, you know, the one made of paper. I may have downloaded it onto my Kindle for professional reasons – as an author, I need to keep abreast of literary phenomena.

If I’ve learned anything, it’s that if I want mega-sales, I need to bump up the bondage in my books. It’s tricky for me, as I write for twelve year olds, but good to know.

Thrift being ever my watchword, I might have downloaded the other two ‘Fifty Shades’ titles (package of three cheaper than individual purchases) so I admit to being familiar with the trilogy; all the ins and outs, so to speak.

So I realise that music plays a significant part in the love and lust story that is Ana and Christian.

Of course it does – they need something to mask the sound of all that spanking. Interestingly, Christian has a penchant for classical tunes. Ana is more of a Top Forty girl – but happily goes along with Christian’s choices in music as well as food, wine and restraints.

It makes sense really; if you’re going to be tied up in the Red Room Of Pain, La Traviata seems more appropriate than Coldplay’s Greatest Hits.

But it all begs the question, what music does it for you in the boudoir?

Everyone is different. Some like nothing but the sound of bedsprings. Others get into it with a power ballad – Meatloaf or Steve Tyler can make a stock standard Tuesday night  shag seem like the last time anyone on earth has sex.

Still others go for smoky jazz tunes – problem with those is they never end.

Or maybe you’re like Ana and Christian who like to crank up the classics.

Here are some suggestions….
