The Oscars have just started but Edwina Bartholomew is already best dressed.

The ceremony – or official red carpet – hasn’t even started yet, but Sunrise host Edwina Bartholomew has already earned our ‘Best On Ground’ for this year’s Academy Awards.

Reporting from the red carpet for the morning show, Bartholomew looks like she should be on the other side of the reporting mic.

We can’t officially say, but it appears the salsa dancing lady emoji and/or the red carpet could have been the main inspiration for her scarlet off-the-shoulder Cappellazzo Couture gown.

While the dress is stunning, it’s the 33 year old’s accessories that have really got us talking, specifically her earrings.

At first glance it looks like a mistake, but trust us – it’s very, very intentional.

Mismatched earrings have been popping up now and again over the last five years or so, but for 2017 they’re back and bigger than ever.

Taking dressing in the dark to a whole new level, the only rule when it comes to wearing them? There are no rules. The more mismatched the better.

You can mix up pairs you already own, or shop the growing selection of already “odd” pairs in stores.

This is one fashion “mistake” we’re very much a fan of.
