An Aussie is playing in an Australian Open final today. Let's all get behind him.

So this is Dylan Alcott.

Dylan is a 24-year-old who also happens to be the world number 2 wheelchair tennis player.

In a former life, Dylan was also a member of Australia’s wheelchair basketball team and won a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. (Impressive, much?)

Late last year, Dylan played tennis for 24 hours straight and raised almost $75,000 for The Starlight Foundation and Variety – the Children’s Charity, the same charities that helped him when he was a kid.

Earlier this month, Dylan won the 2015 Brisbane International.

And then the 2015 Sydney Apia International. As you do.

Today, Dylan is playing in the Quad Wheelchair Singles final of the Australian Open. And we think he deserves your support.

Unfortunately you can’t watch Dylan’s final on the tele. But if you want to support Dylan, you could send a tweet (@DylanAlcott), like his page on Facebook or follow the match online.

Better still, you could grab yourself an Australian Open ground pass and head on down to watch him. He’s playing on Court 6. Probably around 3pm. Tickets can be purchased from the Australian Open website here.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie… etc etc etc.

GOOD LUCK DYLAN.

Disclaimer: Dylan is a friend of mine. So I have it on good authority that he’s worthy of your support.

Ps. This is Dylan’s gorgeous girlfriend Kate. And she’ll kill me for posting this photo.
