 1. Drew Barrymore expecting her second baby

Happy baby news to kick off a Melbourne Cup day – Drew Barrymore and her husband, Will Kopelman, are expecting their second child!

So far, the 38-year-old actress and 35-year-old art dealer have one 13-month-old daughter named Olive.

Her rep confirmed the news to PEOPLE magazine today, after rumours started up when Drew was seen at the LACMA Art + Film Gala on Sunday. No word just yet as to when the baby is due, or how far along she might be.

Drew and Will have been married since June 2012, in a Jewish ceremony at their estate in Montecito, California, with star-studded guests including Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Busy Philips and comedian Jimmy Fallon.

Guy Sebastian with baby Hudson James

2. But wait! There’s more celebrity baby news…

One of Australia’s favourite pop stars and his wife are expecting their second baby, too. Must be something in the water.

Guy Sebastian‘s wife, Jules, announced to New Idea that the pair are expecting their second child. She said that they’re really excited at the thought of a sibling for their 20-month-old son, Hudson.

“Hudson was playing in his little cubby house by himself the other day,” Guy told the magazine. “I was really excited at the prospect of having someone to keep him company.”

32-year-old Guy Sebastian, who grew up with 4 brothers, also revealed his eagerness for another son: “I would love to give him a little brother- I mean, a little sister would be super cute – but we would be so happy with another boy too!”

Congrats, Jules and Guy – we’re so excited to meet the new baby.

3. Blake Lively doesn’t exercise, eats lots of chocolate.

We all know Blake Lively, yeah? Tall, gorgeous, legs-for-days Gossip Girl star? Wardrobe you’d trade your own mother for?

She’s just done an interview with Vogue Paris that will inspire dagger-eyes from women the world over. In the interview, Blake revealed that she does no exercise whatsoever, and that her body is entirely a product of an “active lifestyle”.

“I’m always on the go. I don’t need to have a [trainer] or pay attention to what I eat,” she said. “I can’t start my day without a cup of hot milk chocolate or finish without crunching a few dark chocolate squares. It’s good for my morale.”

As the new face of L’Oreal Paris, Blake Lively also credited high factor sunscreen as her skincare secret, saying: “I follow a very simple regime which is broken down into three steps: make-up removal, skincare and UV protection – I’m absolutely obsessed with it.”

Geri Halliwell

4. Singing superstar is… not such a superstar anymore.

So… Geri Halliwell signed with Sony Australia this year, after appearing as a judge on Channel 9’s Australia’s Got Talent. And last week, she launched her comeback single, called Half of Me.

Presumably, both Geri and Sony thought it’d be a hit – after all, it was written by the same group who have written songs for Jessica Mauboy and Timomatic and Geri used to be a Spice Girl for goodness sake,.

Unfortunately, it sold only 393 copies nationwide last week… and debuted at number 281 on the ARIA charts.

To put that into perspective – Dami Im, the winner of X Factor, sold 44,025 copies of her single Alive in the same week.

5. Cats in tights is the next big thing you need might like to know about.

There’s nothing that the Internet loves more than cats who are dressed-up. Enter: cats in tights, the latest completely ridiculous but rather whimsical Tumblr that features – you guessed it – cats dressed up in tights.

We can’t possibly do it justice in words though, so have a flick through the gallery below – and check out the Tumblr here.

6. Best EVER TV show set to return to our screens.

Remember this?

Well – nothing’s confirmed yet, but rumours are swirling about Full House – a seriously epic sitcom that ran from 1987 to 1995. Apparently, the creator of the show, Jeff Franklin, revealed that ABC and Warner Brothers asked him to put together a new show for the characters.

He also said that the original cast were all on board, except for probably the too-cool-for-school Mary-Kate and Ashley. It’s bound to be hit if it returns – after all, when it was cancelled, the show was still getting 11 million viewers in the US.
