Double take: These two women are NOT related - strangers who look alike

No matter how unique you look, there’s someone in the world who looks just like you.

That’s the concept behind photographer François Brunelle’s project “I’m Not a Look-Alike!,” in which he aims to take 200 pictures of pairs of doppelgangers all around the world.

Brunelle told us he wanted to get strangers who look alike together in the same room and “record the emotion of being close together, in peace.” In fact, he said people are generally very favourable to uncovering their mirror image in the world.

Wilder things have happened too, as a result of the project. “Two men became friends after, along with their respective wives, who had the same first name. They regularly go out together and have a good time,” Brunelle said. “And I became good friends with two women look-alikes from Germany who call themselves my little sisters.”
