Man charged over stabbing death of his wife in Sydney.

A man has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of his wife at Bexley in Sydney’s south.

Police were called to a unit on Valda Street at Bexley at about 6.45pm last night, following reports a woman had been stabbed.

Man has been charged with murder.

A 45-year-old woman was found with fatal stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.

An 18-year-old, who was also at the unit, was found with serious injuries to her hands.

It is understood is the teenager is the couple’s daughter. She was taken to St George Hospital.

About 7pm a 58-year-old man handed himself in to police at Kogarah Station where he was later charged with murder.

He was also charged with wound with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail and is expected to appear in Kogarah Local Court today.

Yesterday, a police spokeswoman said it appeared there had been a domestic dispute at the home.
