1. Watch out ladies, MAFS’ Dean Wells is apparently being considered for The Bachelor.

Goodness.

It looks like Married At First Sight ‘villain’ Dean Wells, could potentially be the next Bachelor.

Yep, the guy who was involved in one of the most controversial MAFS scandals by cheating on his on-screen wife Tracey could be taking over from last year’s Bachelor Matt Agnew.

According to New Idea, Dean has been approached by Channel Ten to be the next Bachelor, having already signed a contract with the network at the start of the year.

While nothing has currently been confirmed,  Dean is already set to return to our screens when Dancing With The Stars airs in February.

2. “I was genuinely thrilled to leave.” Perez Hilton opens up about his controversial exit on I’m A Celeb.

Perez Hilton has left the jungle!

The gossip king was eliminated from I’m A Celeb… Get Me Out of Here! last night, and honestly, he could not have run away fast enough.

Once he heard the news it was him who would be sent home, he grabbed his bags, bolted right past his fellow contestants and gave them no time to say goodbyes.

Speaking to 10 Daily after his exit, Hilton shared his excitement to get back to normal life.

“I bolted from camp because I was genuinely thrilled to leave today. Feeling super accomplished having done so many trials, having met some amazing people whom I will keep in touch with forever,” he said.

Admitting he struggled with the environment around him, Hilton shared that he began to feel unwell regularly due to the lack of food.

Hilton shares that he was, “melting down because my brain is thinking it’s starving, and I was! I lost 10lbs (4.5kg) in eight days.”

However, overall he had a fantastic time.

“I had no idea who any of these celebrities were before I started watching the show,” he said. “Then, I had the real pleasure of getting to know them and becoming a fan… of most of them.”

I’m A Celeb is about to enter its final week, with the finale taking place on Sunday, February 2.

3. Oh. David Schwimmer “doesn’t care” about the criticism Friends is receiving about diversity.

David Schwimmer really wants you to know he is #woke. However, he also “doesn’t care” that the youths of today think Friends is problematic.

While there’s no denying that the 90s sitcom was iconic for its time, the 1o-season-long sitcom also had its fair share of problematic storylines. There’s barely any racial representation, and the show has been accused of promoting fatphobia and transphobia as reflected in jokes made about Monica’s teen obesity and Chandler’s transgender dad. Despite this, Schwimmer, 53, maintains it was “groundbreaking in its time”.

“I don’t care,” he told The Guardian. “The truth is also that show was groundbreaking in its time for the way in which it handled so casually sex, protected sex, gay marriage and relationships. The pilot of the show was my character’s wife left him for a woman and there was a gay wedding, of my ex and her wife, that I attended.”

“I feel that a lot of the problem today in so many areas is that so little is taken in context. You have to look at it from the point of view of what the show was trying to do at the time. I’m the first person to say that maybe something was inappropriate or insensitive, but I feel like my barometer was pretty good at that time. I was already really attuned to social issues and issues of equality.”

Speaking about the show’s lack of racial diversity, he also goes on to say he actively pushed for greater representation. This resulted in his character, Ross, dating women of colour like Lauren Tom who played Julie and Aisha Tyler who played Dr Charlie.

“I was well aware of the lack of diversity and I campaigned for years to have Ross date women of colour. One of the first girlfriends I had on the show was an Asian-American woman, and later I dated African-American women. That was a very conscious push on my part.”

And look, while Friends might not have been problematic, and was even as Schwimmer says ‘groundbreaking for its time’, that doesn’t mean we can’t admit that elements of the series can come across as dated when watched today.

If anything, it’s called progress.

4. Plot twist! Aimee Lou Wood and Connor Swindells from Sex Education are dating in real life.

Attention fans of Netflix’s Sex Education, we are GIDDY with excitement.

After meeting each other on set, Aimee Lou Wood, 24, and Connor Swindells, 23, (who respectively play the loved up Aimee Gibbs and Adam Groff) are also dating IRL.

If you follow the actors on Instagram, then this will not be news to you, the couple made their relationship Insta-official in September 2018 when she shared a heartfelt birthday message to Swindells.

“HAPPY DAY OF BIRTH SWINDELLS YOU BEAUTIFUL MAGNIFICENT MAN. You’ve been a warrior king forever in the hundreds of lives you have already lived but now you’re my [king emoj],” she wrote.

“AND I DONT GIVE A F IF ANYONE THINKS THAT IS CRINGEY cuz I’m trying to be as brave as u are.

“I’m owning my narrative. Big thank you to Adam Groff and Aimee Gibbs for making all this possible… Not going to say any more because I feel vulnerable but YOU KNOW THE REST (posting now because of that evil time difference).”

 5. Everyone smelt and hunger makes you crazy: Tanya Hennessy on what I’m A Celeb was really like.

The first thing Tanya Hennessy did when she left the set of I’m A Celebrity was drink “a lot of alcohol”.

“I drank pina coladas by the pool and watched a warthog touch itself. It was great,” the comedian laughs.

The social media phenomenon has spent the last three weeks in the South African jungle, deprived of life’s luxuries, before being the sixth celebrity eliminated.

Hennessy told Mamamia she lost nine kilos during her time in the jungle.

“I now want to be on the cover of a magazine [with the headline] ‘Tanya’s drastic weight loss’,” the 33-year-old jokes.

In camp, Hennessy consumed just 800 calories a day – 1200 calories less than the average woman is recommended to eat to maintain their weight.

“I was starving the whole time,” she says, “and it makes you crazy. That’s why people lose it, they are extremely hungry and really tired.”

Besides the famine, the best-selling author shared there are some aspects viewers are never aware of. The toilets in particular, Hennessy says, was the most surprising part about camp.

Why? Because there was a "family of snakes" living in them. Oh.

"We couldn't use the toilet for a couple of days because of the snakes. It kept happening.

"You go to the toilet, and you're wondering, 'Can I have some stars? Because I went through a literal trial in there.'"

Hennessy continued: "They never show the door of the toilets and how gross it is in there. You literally pee into a bucket.

"But I didn't care about the bucket. I cared about the snakes in there."
