Daniel Radcliffe goes undercover as a receptionist. Fails.

Daniel Radcliffe needs to stick to his day job. Or perhaps use a spell or two from Harry Potter the next time he goes moonlighting.

How many I help you? asks 'receptionist' Daniel Radcliffe.

The 25-year-old actor who's always game for a challenge, went undercover at as a - wait for it  - receptionist at the superbly stylish Nylon magazine in New York. He needed to bring his acting A-game to work once the hidden cameras started filming.

Fitted with a secret microphone, Radcliffe's every action was recorded as he filled in for the magazine's receptionist. But it all came unstuck pretty soon.

Too many stationery requests.

Stationary requests, courier deliveries and even a ringing phone were just too mind-boggling for Radcliffe, who struggled to keep things under control. In his defence, these skills were never listed on his résumé.

'It's proving to be the hardest thing I've ever done," admits Radcliffe, as staff requests escalate.

Watch the hilarious video below:

While a few staff and visitors did recognise the actor and proceeded to click heaps of selfies with him, most of them just gave him a cursory nod, oblivious to who was actually manning the phones.

Even singer Joe Jonas, who happened to swing by for a meeting, didn't recognise his fellow celeb.

'I'm very new and s***', says a nervous Radcliffe as he tries, without success, to contact the woman Jonas is to meet.

Singer Joe Jonas thought, "This new guy sucks."

"Are you from the England office?" asks Jonas, only recognising the actor's posh British accent. "Yes, I'll go with that," replies Radcliffe. Once Radcliffe shoots off to find the lady Jonas needs to meet, the singer mutters under his breath, "This new guy sucks."

Don't worry, Daniel Radcliffe. Just grab Harry Potter's Cloak of Invisibility and make it all go away.
