Meet the couple that shares all their arguments on social media

Washing up. Song lyrics. IKEA flatpacks. When you're in a relationship, arguments can be sparked by all kinds of mundane topics that seem really silly and irrational on reflection. The good thing is, unless they overhear you yelling, nobody else will ever know.

Unless you share all of your arguments on social media, that is.

Welcome the 21st century version of "airing your dirty laundry in public".

Claire and Alan, both 24, launched their joint Twitter profile with the handle @WeFoughtAbout in August. An update is posted every time they bicker, and the results are equal parts hilarious and relatable - as their almost 10,000 followers will testify.

These are some of our favourites:

"I was going to post a photo on Instagram but Claire beat me to it."

"Alan spilled water on me while I was trying to sleep."

"Alan wasn't texting me. I could see him liking stuff on Facebook."

"Alan sent me an article that put Prince in a bad light."

"I made a date with Claire and then double booked myself."

"Claire blamed me for Dumbledore's death."

"It's a way to make ourselves accountable for our crazy moments and also to show off the side of a relationship that is rarely seen until it's over or going badly," Alan told the Huffington Post.

Whether you think this is cute or a total overshare, you have to admit it's comforting to know there are other couples out there who fight over baby carrots.

What's the weirdest thing you've had an argument over?
