The best hangover cure ever: Netflix will drop 47 comedy specials on New Year's Day.

There is no day better suited for a Netflix binge than New Year’s Day.

When you’re extremely hungovertired on January 1 and need something to watch with your Maccas that you ordered on Uber Eats, consequently already ruining at least two of your new year resolutions, Netflix have your back.

The streaming service is releasing it’s new comedy series Comedians of the World on New Year’s Day and the first-of-its-kind series will showcase 47 comedians from 13 regions in eight languages.

The featured comedians are diverse in style, gender and ethnicity and heck yes, this sounds awesome. At least one female comedian was featured from each region.

ANZ comedians Urzila Carlson, Joel Creasey, Nazeem Hussain and Cal Wilson are part of the world comedy line up which also features comedians from the US, Canada, Quebec, South Africa, UK, France, Mexico, Brazil, Netherlands, Germany, India and the Middle East.

Other familiar names include Neal Brennan and Nicole Byer (a.k.a the host of our favourite feel-good baking show Nailed It!)

Along with the trailer, Netflix also dropped a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the comedy specials.

Yep.

You can rest assured that no matter how bad your headache, your New Year’s Day will be full of laughs.
