Coldplay have been in Australia for less than a week and we’re ready to give them honorary citizenship.
First the band filmed their new music video for ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ in the uber trendy Sydney suburb of Newtown on Tuesday, resulting in this cuteness:

And then? They performed with everyone’s favourite pop-princess Kylie Minogue at the Enmore Theatre last night. As if we didn’t already love them enough.

Here to promote their new album ‘Ghost Stories’, the band, fronted by Chris “hot chips”‘ Martin, has admitted that the new album is in fact inspired by the famous concious uncoupling of him and soon to be ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
Speaking to the audience on Wednesday night at Foxtel’s Max Sessions , the 37-year-oldtold fans:
“So just between you and me, I’ll tell you a lot of it is about when you go through something a little difficult, and you understand that by staying with it you reach a place of love and happiness and come through better the other side.”
Gwyneth and Chris announced that they were separating in the March of this year via Gwyneth’s blog Goop. Chris, later blamed his “personal issues” for not being able to appreciate what he had with Gwyn. Speaking to BBC radio in April, the dad of Apple and Moses said that “about two years ago I was a mess, really, because I can’t enjoy the things that we are good at and I can’t enjoy the great things around me because I’m burdened by this.”
Enter ‘Ghost Stories’.
Oh Chris Martin, just know that all of Australia is behind you. We will never consciously uncouple from you, ever.
The band will perform on Australia’s version of The Voice live shows this Sunday. Then they will stay in the country forever and provide the soundtrack to our lives.

Yep, I only commented to someone the other day that Chris splitting with Gwyneth has resulted in Coldplay producing some really good music!
How? Every song they make sounds the same. That band has been pumping out the same generic shit for years now. I'm no gwyneth fan, but she's got nothing to do with that whiney generic semi-pop that coldplay is.
It's all a matter of personal taste I guess. Each to their own.
