Melanoma Institute Australia CEO Carole Renouf has written a warning to the Australian public regarding reality TV show Married At First Sight.
Australia, we need to talk.
This week’s dramatic episodes of Married At First Sight have highlighted a tragedy which is ripping Australian families apart. Yet no one is talking about it.
Whilst public discussion focuses on Cheryl and Andrew’s tumultuous relationship, we should be talking about something far more sinister.
Listen: The big problem with Married At First Sight that no one is talking about.
At their ‘relationship boot camp’ Cheryl was clearly shown sporting badly sunburnt shoulders and back.
Her skin was bright red, it looked painful, and I’m sure viewers noticed. Yet no-one batted an eyelid. Well, I am calling it.

i blame the producers, they always want the cast in sunlight because it makes for great lighting, but you can't hide your eyes so no sensible hats either. ever seen a newsreader struggling while staring directly into the sun, because that is the best lighting? i feel bad for them. normal people would need sunglasses.
'I love a sunburnt country' refers to the red dirt and deserts, not our shoulders...
