Stars pay tribute to Charlotte Dawson at pub memorial

Hundreds of celebrities, friends and family have turned out at the Beresford pub, Sydney, to mourn the loss and celebrate the life of former model and TV personality Charlotte Dawson. Channel Nine TV presenter Richard Wilkins MC-ed the memorial service, with 47-year-old Charlotte’s ashes placed on the lectern by her sister so that ‘she can see everybody.’

Alex Perry also shared a few words, saying that Charlotte was ‘a thoughtful, funny, beautiful, fragile girl who wanted to be loved.’ Celebrities present included Lachlan Murdoch, Megan Gale, Camilla Franks, Kerri-Anne Kennelly, Collette Dinniggan and many Australia’s Next Top Model contestants. The room was decorated with white balloons and candles. Kylie Minogue’s Spinning Around played during the service.

Indonesian officials will scrutinise Schapelle Corby footage

Balinese ministry officials have revealed that they will be keeping a close eye on Channel Seven's Sunday Night footage of Schapelle Corby and will be relaying the content to the Indonesian Justice Minister. The Justice Minister will then review whether or not the program breaches Corby's parole conditions.

The TV network have already aired promos for the show, which claims to have Corby's first moments free from jail on tape. A Channel Seven spokesperson has confirmed that there isn't a personal interview with the convicted drug-smuggler, who has been hiding out in a luxury vila for nineteen days since her release on February 10 this year.

100 babies a year will have three parents from 2015

A genetic-modification technique has been designed that could see up to 100 triple-parent children born each year in the UK 'as early as 2015.' The British Government has published draft plans which will allow IVF doctors to create the embryos.

The Department of Health has called for a public consultation into what will be a world first plan to stop mothers passing genetic diseases onto their children. Critics of the techniques are concerned that approving the plans could be the first step towards creating designer children.

Great Grandpa picks up wrong child from school

A man who thought he had picked up his great-grandchild from school, drove home with the wrong child and didn't notice until he arrived home to his shocked wife. The 79-year-old refused to let 5-year-old Everett Stone out of his car when he started yelling, assuming that his great-grandson didn't understand his mother was sick.

The two boys were dressed identically on the day and are of similar build and height. Stone's parents are furious at the school, who asked the elderly man to drive the boy back to the playground without notifying police and have asked for a state police investigation into what appears to be an incidental mix-up.
