Selfies with the Stars: Mother's Day Edition.

Because we all have a lot to thank our mums for.

We all celebrated our mums over the weekend, whether we were with them, separated by an ocean or just remembering all the amazing memories we have of them. We all took a moment to acknowledge the amazing women around the world that are our role models and best friends – our mums.

And the celebrities were no different, with many A-listers posting photos and tributes to their mums on social media. Some celebrities also contributed to “Letters from mum” – a series of open letters from celebrity mums to their children.

The letters were raw, honest and beautifully written (we may have needed a tissue, or three).

Victoria Beckham wrote:

“They are a wonder to me every day. From a teenage son through to a toddler daughter, each moment of every day is filled with different energies, activities, feelings and a lot of comedy…Being in a position where they live such a privileged life, it is important that our children understand humility, that they appreciate how their parents have worked very hard to create this life for the family and that they, too, have a responsibility to work hard, be respectful and never, ever take anything for granted.”

Sharon Osbourne wrote:

“I’m now terribly overprotective. I will always stand by you and be there for you. You’ll never fall because I’m there to catch you…It’s the hardest thing in the world, to be a hands-on mother and sustain a career. You cannot do it without having endless guilt. When I think of you all, my heart just melts.”

Tina Knowles Lawson (Beyonce‘s mum) wrote:

“The obvious things about all of you are apparent. You are all strong, beautiful, intelligent and smart businesswomen. You are so much more than that. You are all kind, generous and you treat people well. You are all amazing mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends. All of you have total self-respect.”

And Ivana Trump wrote:

“You are the greatest joy of my life. We’ve had some amazingly wonderful times together, and some sad and difficult ones…I thank you all for being the light and the loves of my life. You have made it all worthwhile.”

Our hearts are melting.
