The Project host Carrie Bickmore was on Family Feud and it made everyone do a double take.

Did you catch Carrie Bickmore on Family Feud on Monday night? Of course you didn’t, because how could you possibly recognise her with blonde hair?

Carrie and her The Project team appeared on Channel 10’s Family Feud last night sporting a different kind of look: a blonde one we had almost forgotten she used to rock nightly.

Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly, Peter Hellier and Steve Price faced of against Neighbours stars Olympia Valance, Alan Fletcher, Stefan Dennis and Jackie Woodburne in last night’s repeat of the all-star version of the show.

And all anyone could eye was Bickmore’s old hair.

Perhaps what didn’t help the stark contrast was the fact The Project ran straight into the repeat of Family Feud, meaning one minute Bickmore was on the screens as a brunette and the next, a platinum blonde.

Fans were quick to point out the blast from the past, with one writing on Twitter, “blonde Carrie Bickmore is on All Star Family Feud and I totally forgot that’s what it looked like.”

Bickmore made the drastic change back in August and social media went into meltdown about the dramatic change she made in conjunction with beauty company Garnier.

As their brand ambassador, she posted on Instagram at the time that she’d “been up to something exciting… over the weekend for Garnier.”

The change was part of a new Garnier campaign promoting its at-home hair colour kits, and Bickmore is the face of it.

At the time, Bickmore explained she was ready for a change after all of Australia had grown accustomed to seeing the TV presenter with the same hair colour.

“I’ve had the same colour hair for 35 years and I was bored and I thought, ‘Why not?’” she explained. “I’m giving it a whirl!”

Now we can’t imagine her without it.
