Australian cricketer David Warner and fiance Candice Falzon welcome a baby.

It’s a girl for the sporty couple.

Iron woman Candice Falzon, 29, the fiance of Australian cricketer David Warner, 27, gave birth to a baby girl yesterday.

Mere hours before the birth, David tweeted, “Off to the driving range with my Callaway clubs. Hopefully I get a call from Candice Falzon saying she is ready. #push”

And she was, with David rushing from the driving range to make it to the birth of his little girl, who they named Ivy Mae Warner.

David also tweeted the first photo of them as new parents, saying that his fiance looked gorgeous just a few hours of giving birth (and acknowledging he would be in trouble for posting the cheeky snap).

Candice and David decided to not find out the gender of their baby. Candice told Daily Mail in July, "I want to find out what it is but David doesn't and I couldn't hold that from him. It is going to be a surprise."

The couple announced they were pregnant back in March telling New Idea, "This is an Ashes baby." At the same time they announced their engagement.

Congratulations to the new parents.
