1. There is now a bus run on human waste.

A British company has sent a bus run on human waste on its maiden voyage.

GENeco has shown off the potential to use fecal fuel to power transport.

According to Slate, the 40-seat “bio bus” runs on biomethane — a gas generated by treating sewage.

The bus is running around Bristol, England, which — by no coincidence — is the European Green Capital.

Most hilariously, the bus has an on-theme design: people on the toilet.

The designer, Ian Drury, told Slate he was “keen to come up with an eye-catching design that would turn heads.”

2. Young Nepalese girls cook for people devastated by earthquake.

A group of 20 girls in Nepal are distributing aid kits and cooking for thousands of people displaced by the 7.9 magnitude earthquake which devastated the country recently.

The girls are part of the Unatti Foundation — a not-for-profit organisation which usually focuses on providing shelter and services to orphaned or underpivileged Nepalese children.

Fortunately the staff from the Unatti Foundation, based in Kathmandu Valley, survived the earthquake.

“We were all in the music center at the Unatti home when the earthquake hit,” Ramesh Pradhananga, the executive director of the Unatti Foundation told PEOPLE magazine.

“We quickly ran outside to an open space and everyone was safe.”

The foundation’s staff are aged between just 4 and 20.

Founder of the Unatti Foundation, Stephanie Waisler-Rubin, is mobilising and aid effort for the region.

“All of my employees are doing community service efforts, putting up tents, buying rice and lentils, and the older children in our care are cooking for over 3,000 people in the Kathmandu valley,” she says.

“Our area was hit pretty heavily, and everyone has been weathering the night outside in open rice and vegetable fields as they’re fearful of going into their homes,” she says.

All funds raised by the Unatti Foundation will go toward earthquake relief.

Thirty-six US states now allow same-sex marriage and fifty-nine per cent of Americans support marriage equality, The New Yorker reports.

Many have taken to social media to express their support for the change using the hashtag #LoveCantWait, including presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

The Supreme Court is expected to hand down its ruling in June.
