How did this company think using this slogan was a good idea?

How many people would this idea have had to pass through before it made it to the shelves??

Take a read of he latest slogan to come from American beer brand, Bud Light:

The perfect beer for removing “no” from your vocabulary for the night.

The perfect beer for whatever happens.

A Reddit user took a photo of the slogan and posted it to the site this week, where it soon drew accusations of promoting rape culture.

You’d think beer companies would be extra careful to come up with slogans and campaigns that steer clear of any association with sexual assault and violence.

In the company’s defence, they did apologise almost immediately.

Vice-President for Bud Light of Anheuser-Busch, Alexander Lambrecht, said in a statement:

It’s clear that this message missed the mark, and we regret it. We would never condone disrespectful or irresponsible behavior.

But still, it’s shocking that the slogan was ever approved in the first place, especially considering the role alcohol has been proven to play in sexual assaults.
