CELEB NEWS: Was Brittany Murphy poisoned?

There’s some shocking news this morning that Clueless star Brittany Murphy may have been poisoned.

The 32-year-old died in 2009 and the coroner originally concluded that both Brittany and her husband Simon Monjack died of natural causes (pneumonia and anemia), five months apart.

Murphy’s father, Angelo Bertolotti, always held long-standing suspicions of a possible poisoning. After years of litigation and obstruction, he secured hair, blood and tissue samples from both and had them tested independently.

According to the lab report both Murphy and Monjack exhibited symptoms of heavy metal poisoning, which is most commonly caused by ingesting rat poison.

At the time of Murphy’s death she displayed many of the symptoms associated with heavy metal poisoning, including headaches, dizziness and pneumonia.

The Office of the Los Angeles Coroner admittedly did not test for any poisonous substances at the time of their deaths, and the late actress’s father said he is hoping the new report will bring his late daughter some justice.

“Vicious rumours, spread by tabloids unfairly smeared Brittany’s reputation,” he said.

“My daughter was neither anorexic nor a junkie as they [the media] repeatedly implied. There will be justice for Brittany.”

Adam Levine supposedly sexiest man alive, decidedly unsexy.

According to celebrity news websites, The Hollywood Reporter and Gossip Cop, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will be named People‘s Sexiest Man Alive.

A quick straw poll around the office has concluded that no one finds Adam Levine sexy. Not even any of the celebrities in the video below. The popular choices for 2013’s Sexist Man Alive are Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Tyra Banks nominated Jesse Eisenberg, (The Social Network), Paris Hilton voted for Brad Pitt and Lisa Kudrow nominated her husband.

Channing Tatum was 2012’s Sexiest Man Alive, while Bradley Cooper receiving the honour in 2011, and Ryan Reynolds took out 2010.

Meryl Streep to play Susan Boyle in upcoming biopic?

Susan Boyle, the Britian’s Got Talent who gained worldwide attention for her astonishing audition, revealed Meryl Streep has been approached to play her in the upcoming biopic of her life.

Talking to UK’s Metro she said: “I wouldn’t like to be in the film myself.” And revealed, “I’d like someone to play me. Probably Meryl Streep — I understand she has been approached.”

Streep has yet to comment on the rumored casting. The Oscar-winning actress has earned accolades for her past portrayals of real people, such as Julia Child for 2009’s Julie & Julia and Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, which won Streep the award for Best Actress.

Miranda Kerr’s Photoshop denial.

Miranda Kerr has denied she Photoshopped the image of herself she uploaded to Instagram last week.

The Aussie model posted a picture of herself and two other Victoria’s Secret Angels wishing them luck before the show. Some eagle-eyed followers noticed they’d seen the image before with a few noticeable differences.

The doctored image featured showed Miranda’s waist shaved down and Doutzen’s had been made bigger.

Kerr has since denied she was responsible for the digital re-touching.
“Hi guys, here is the original VS image!” Kerr wrote. “When I re-posted the photo this week to support the girls I screen-grabbed it off the internet when I was working in Japan. I had no idea it was Photoshopped. All good intentions- sorry for the confusion and congratulations to the girls for such a great show!”

Joh Griggs slams New Idea over fake cover story.

This week’s New Idea magazine features the coverline “My Shock News at 40” splashed over Johanna Grigg’s image, yet it seems the magazine didn’t even speak to the Better Homes and Gardens host before running the story.

News Ltd are reporting that the “secret” is actually “the joy she’d be feeling at 40” with the news a second season of House Rules had been commissioned. A fact she revealed five months ago.
