How Megan Fox kept her baby a secret

Often when a pregnant celebrity goes into labor, the tabloids hear about it before the baby even arrives. But somehow Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox were able keep their son's birth a secret — and they have Reese Witherspoon to thank!

No, Witherspoon wasn't Fox's celebrity doula or anything like that. But she did allow Green and Fox to keep their son Noah Shannon's arrival quiet for three weeks because he was born at the same hospital on the same day as Witherspoon's son, Tennessee James Toth.

"I've been wanting to send Reese Witherspoon flowers for, like, a month and a half now, cause she actually gave birth [the same day as] us in Santa Monica," Green told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show on Tuesday.

"We were lucky enough to go in at 2:30 in the morning to the hospital and nobody knew."

Green, 39, says the focus on Witherspoon's birth allowed him and Fox to go under the radar at the hospital. The new parents only found out Witherspoon was also at the hospital two days after Noah was born.

"We got out of the hospital and nobody knew. We got home and thought, 'This is unbelievable.' We weren't expecting to be able to get away with it. We were expecting all the [paparazzi] guys in the hallways and the parking structure," the Wedding Band star shares.

"So we just figured we would go with it as long as we could. Until [E! News] found out first and we thought, 'Okay, let’s put something on Facebook then.'"

Already a father to 10-year-old son Kassius Lijah from his previous relationship with Vanessa Marcil, Green wasn't expecting to become a father again a decade after his first child. But Noah has quickly reminded Green of what it takes to parent a newborn.

"I really felt young for my age until my new son was born. I've never felt so 40 in my life," he jokes. "He's really good — he sleeps but it’s only in three hour increments."
