A baby Bonds onesie has just sold for $60,000. We repeat, $60,000.

It’s worth $60,000. And every new parent has one like it.

Still left wondering what on earth is going on?

The jumpsuits generally retail for around $20. Normal enough.

But what this – no doubt, secretly gold plated – onesie has revealed is a hidden market of bonds resales.

Yes, it is now common for a Bonds onesie to resell online for around $100 to $300.

Speaking with The Sunday Telegraph, Bonds marketing manager Emily Small said, “The confetti print was in our Christmas range last year and it sold out in a matter of days. Everyone loves it,” Ms Small said.

Ms Small added, the demand for the ‘zippy’ wonder suit is so high that, “One sells every three minutes.”

We can’t help but imagine who bought this exorbitantly priced onesie. The sheikh of Dubai? The Duchess of Cambridge herself? Or maybe the Clooney’s have something they want to get off their chests?
