The world has been buzzing about the state of Beyonce and Jay Z’s marriage since that elevator fight. Now Queen Bey adds fuel to the fire.
The Internet has been obsessing over what Jay Z “did” to make Beyonce’s sister so very unhappy back in May, and now Bey herself has revved up the rumours, by changing up some lyrics at a big live gig to seemingly suggest Jay Z has been, um, less than faithful.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock , you’ll know that Jay Z and Solange had a fight in an elevator after the Met Gala two months ago. So of course we’re all wondering what on earth actually happened in that little confined space.
Ever since, rumours have been everywhere that Beyonce and Jay Z are on the rocks. So what Beyonce did during her Ohio concert last Saturday (28 June) for her and her hubby’s On The Run tour has made us very, very confused.
Beyonce performed her song Resentment, which is about being lied to and cheated on. It was released in 2006, so nothing really unusual there. But what’s with the lyric change?
While wearing a very bridal wedding dress and veil, instead of singing, “Been riding with you for six years”, as she sings on the original track, she changed it to “Been riding with you for 12 years.” She then changed the line "Like I couldn't do it for you like your mistress could" to "Like I couldn't do it for you like that wack bitch could."
Coincidentally, Beyonce and Jay have been together for 12 years.
Having happily set the rumourmill alight, Beyonce then posted several photos to her instagram account of her and Jay Z looking very much in love.
