Celeb in 5: Friday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. People think Beau Ryan’s new job means he will cheat on his wife again. People are silly.

Beau Ryan has a new job. Most fans are happy for Beau Ryan. Some fans are silly.

You see, Beau Ryan has announced he is starring in another musical – this time, Grease, playing Vince Fontaine – set to launch in January.

But last time Beau Ryan was involved in a musical, he was embroiled in a very public affair with former Hi-5 entertainer Lauren Brant.

Apparently, according to some of Ryan’s fans on his Instagram post announcing the news, musicals = affair.

We would like to point out that a) that logic isn’t logic and b) that logic is stupid.

We just also like to point out that the core cause of affairs isn’t location. But upwards and onwards.

It looks like it will be a production well worth watching.

2. A new star-studded breakfast radio show has just been announced and OUR EARS ARE READY.

The Em Rusciano Radio Show has had quite the shake-up in preparation for 2018 after her co-host Harley Breen announced on-air he would be departing the show last month.

Since then, it was announced comedian Ed Kavalee would be joining the lineup after he quit his post on breakfast radio in Sydney following the birth of his first son, Arnold.

And now? Well now, it keeps getting bigger.

On Instagram on Friday morning, Rusciano announced the duo would be joined by a third co-host.

“So big news… Well big news about a small person! Australia’s foremost glamour bogan and everyone’s best mate @grantdenyer is joining Kavalee and I on breakfast next year! I know you’re surprised but it works.. Trust me. The three of us just work. Welcome Denyer, may I never grow tired of pointing out your vertical situation.”

This will be one to watch, we mean hear, for sure.

3. An open letter to Calvin Harris: Please please PLEASE keep your marriage equality promise.

Excuse us, Calvin Harris, but when you’re famous and you say things you may or may not mean, we’re still going to hold you to them.

Yesterday, in case you missed it (you didn’t) Australian parliament made same-sex marriage legal.

And five years ago, Adelaide-based DJ Filip Odzak met the musician after Sydney’s Stereosonic festival. There, he extracted quite the promise from Harris: Calvin would remix Spice Girls 2 Become 1 when marriage equality was finally passed Down Under.

“I’m very excited to hear what you do with the iconic track to celebrate this momentous occasion. A deal is a deal!” Odzak wrote on Twitter on Thursday night.

It has since been re-tweeted nearly 2,000 times.

We think Calvin Harris should cough-up, thanks.

Spare a thought for Kimmy K today – she has a bunch of grumpy Aussie women breathing down her neck.

The 37-year-old socialite might’ve made $13 million from sales of her new perfume line in just 24 hours, but those who made a purchase here in Australia and New Zealand might not receive her scent at all.

Boo.

According to purveyor of all things good and true, TMZ, Kardashian’s Crystal Gardenia scent has been banned from coming to Australia due to it containing a “hazardous material”.

That material? Alcohol. Yep.

According to the gossip website, Kardashian’s team had no clue the alcohol content would be an issue, and will be offering all customers from Australia and New Zealand a full refund of their purchase.

RIP Crystal Gardenia. May we never know your sweet, florally scent :'(

Listen: Oh, and on the topic of Kim…

5. Lisa Wilkinson’s arm injury was so bad she was 24 hours away from needing an amputation.

When television presenter Lisa Wilkinson broke her wrist while holidaying in Italy in July this year, it was put down to bad luck.

“And so ends my beautiful Italian holiday with two badly broken bones after a shocking fall on a wet bathroom floor,” she posted to Instagram alongside a picture of her, with the bravest of faces, sporting a full arm cast.

Turns out, it was more serious than she thought. And, upon returning to Australia, the 57-year-old mum-of-three, former co-host of TODAY, was told by doctors her arm might require amputation due to ‘mistreatment’ by Italian doctors.

“The doctors [in Italy] were very sweet, but not very talented, and they put a cast on that cut off my circulation for four or five days,” Wilkinson told the crowd at a Business Chicks event on Thursday night, as reported by Daily Mail.

Doctors in Australia couldn’t understand why a full cast was used, and said Wilkinson came within 24 hours of needing amputation, Daily Mail reports.

Much to everyone’s delight, Wilkinson’s doctors managed to find away to make it all work and she proceeds to have two arms. Joy.
