Sick of scrolling through soppy Valentine’s Day messages on social media yet? Yuh. Same.
But there was one adorable tweet from yesterday that has actually given us the warm and fuzzies, from none other than former President of the United States, Barack Obama.
Clearly still feeling his post-holiday glow, Obama took to Twitter to make an adorable proclamation of love for his leading lady, Michelle.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, @michelleobama!” read the tweet, “Almost 28 years with you, but it always feels new.”

The former POTUS and his family have been spotted holidaying in recent weeks at Richard Branson’s British Virgin Islands.
And their tropical island holiday is clearly still on the brain, as Michelle tweeted back her Valentine’s response – featuring her and Obama’s sandy toes – in her first post since Donald Trump was sworn in.
“Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life and favorite island mate, @BarackObama,” she wrote, signing off with the hashtag ‘#valentines’.

We love seeing the Obama’s so loved up, especially after what must have been a difficult handover to current president Trump.
