Is this Dad's DIY delightful or dangerous?

This dad has made his kids’ dreams come true with this backyard project, but would you let your kid ride on it?

If Father Of The Year was awarded by children, we have no doubt that Will Pemble would win.

The 50-year-old Californian father-of-two has made headlines around the world because of his extreme backyard project.

Mr Pemble, who has since created his own website - CoasterDad.com, has built an 55-metre-long roller-coaster in his San Francisco yard in order to make his son's dreams come true after they became inspired by a trip to their local theme park.

$3500 and 300 hours later and their backyard roller-coaster was complete.

The E-commerce management consultant says that 'like most things in life, this project all came about because I got excited by an idea.

'We were just back from one of many amusement park trips and Lyle asked a simple question, “Why don't we build our own roller coaster, Dad?”

‘I couldn't think of a single good reason to say no so Lyle and I headed off to the lumber yard for a few supplies.

‘Today, our backyard roller coaster is an unending source of excitement, challenge, education, and connection.

‘The coaster is complete and fully operational, although we keep adding onto it and making modifications."
