Tim Robards just announced he'll be back on your TV screen very soon.

You’d know him best for his stint as Australia’s first (and arguably, most successful) Bachelor, but this time Tim Robards is set to hit your screens for a different reason.

Like many reality stars before him, the chiropractor who is now married to Anna Heinrich, who he met on the show, Tim now wants to pursue a career in acting.

And it seems he’s already landed his first big role.

Posting a photo to Instagram on Thursday, Robards announced he’ll be joining the cast of Neighbours later this year.

The 35-year-old captioned his post, “Cats out of the bag…so stoked and honoured to be heading to Ramsay St…and becoming part of the Aussie icon that is @Neighbours.”

After a successful audition right before his wedding in June this year, Robards has now been cast as wealthy investor “Pierce Greyson”.

Of the character, Robards said, “Pierce Greyson has a number layers to him so he is really interesting to play. He is a hybrid of a Harvey Specter, sprinkle of Christian Grey and little bit of Robert Redford so it’s been great fun to explore.”

A mix like that…you just can’t ignore.

Neighbours Executive Producer, Jason Herbison said in a statement to Channel 10: “Tim went through a lengthy audition process and impressed us with his take on the character. As soon as we put him in the room with the other characters he’ll be playing opposite, we knew we had our Pierce Greyson.”

Robards said getting his acting career off the ground has been his top priority for the year. Apart from his stunning Italian wedding in June to his now-wife Anna Heinrich, of course.

He was back on our screens in 2015 as an intruder on I’m a Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here! and as recently as Tuesday night we saw him take on the Australian Ninja Warrior course for a second time.

But we just can’t wait for more.

Robards is set to make his Neighbours debut in early October 2018.
