Catherine Bauer
Author
Catherine Bauer is an Adelaide-based writer and author with a deep love of story, community and the small, telling details that make ordinary lives extraordinary. She writes across lifestyle, culture and creativity, with a particular interest in reinvention, second acts and what it means to build a meaningful life in midlife and beyond. After decades spent juggling sole motherhood, raising three amazing young men, a demanding work life and personal ambition, Catherine now finds herself in a season of intentional self-growth. Catherine is an awarded children’s picture book and YA author and aspiring cosy crime writer. She is especially drawn to stories about women navigating change: empty nests, career pivots, financial independence, friendship shifts and the quiet recalibration of identity that happens in our fifties and sixties. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her walking along the Adelaide coastline, plotting fictional crimes over coffee, or deep in conversation about books and living well without hustle or hassle. Her work speaks to women who are thoughtful, capable and ready for what’s next - even if they’re not entirely sure what that looks like yet.
