Disturbing new details from the mum who almost had her baby stolen from an Australian beach.

A homeless man accused of attempting to abduct a seven-week-old baby at a popular Sydney beach last week allegedly told the child’s mother,”This is not your baby. Give it to me. I’m taking it.”

Court documents reveal the 31-year-old mother (unnamed) told authorities she was afraid 38-year-old Mr Ronnie Ramirez was going to “take her baby and kill him,” after the he attempted to snatch the child from Bronte Beach last Monday.

As Channel 7 reported at the time, the child was thankfully unharmed:

The Sydney Morning Herald reports, a police statement of facts delivered to Central Local Court describes how Ramirez attempted to snatch the boy, telling his mother, “This is not your baby. Give it to me. I’m taking it.”

According to the fact sheet, “The victim shouted, ‘Help, call the police.'”

Terrifyingly, the accused was also allegedly heard saying, “This will be his last thing to eat” and “This will be his last bread before he dies.”

The mother attempted to push Ramirez away and the pair became involved in a scuffle, which was eventually broken up by life guards. She suffered minor injuries as a result.

According to court documents, Ramirez has no fixed address, and upon his arrest for attempting to take or detain a child and common assault, listed his address as simply, ‘Bondi Beach’.

SMH report Ramirez did not apply for bail.

A Justice Health Report has been ordered in order to examine Ramirez’s mental health. At this stage, the case is expected to return to court in April.
