High profile model Annalise Braakensiek found dead in her Sydney apartment.

Friends and family became concerned when they hadn’t heard from Sydney model Annalise Braakensiek in a few days.

Sadly, when police arrived on Sunday afternoon they found the 46-year-old dead in her Potts Point apartment.

Police said her death was not suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

The jewellery designer and health influencer had lived with depression for years and in 2017 was an ambassador for RUOK? Day.

She told The Daily Edition at the time that she faced unfair scrutiny over her mental illness because of the job she worked, facing people’s assessment that her life was too glamorous for her to suffer depression.

“It was the … negative reaction people had to me being depressed and falling under the dark cloud.

“In many ways my life is wonderful, for which I’m extremely grateful and there’s no doubting that, but when you’re suffering these kinds of things for people to say, ‘how dare you — you’re a model, you’re a millionaire, you’re round the world’.

“That’s got nothing to do with this.”

In a recent Instagram post she described 2018 as a “challenging year”. In April she had split from her husband and partner of 16 years, Danny Goldberg.

Throughout her career, the model had also appeared on such iconic TV shows as Fat Pizza, Home and Away, and Heartbreak High.
