Porno filmed in the fantasy section of La Trobe University Library. Because, why not?

Angela White, a former porn star and political candidate for the Sex Party at the 2010 election, has caused a stir at La Trobe University in Melbourne when she hit the fantasy bookshelves to create her own sex film.

The video was allegedly filmed earlier this year with Ms White acting inappropriately on the desks and then moving to the bookshelves where her role-play lover kept a look out for pesky librarians who might put a stop to the fun.

La Trobe University is reportedly “shocked and appalled” by the porn star’s behaviour on the grounds of their campus. Releasing a statement today, a university spokesperson said, “We knew nothing about the video footage until we were recently informed by some of our students.”

Aside: Don’t you wish you could have been a fly on the wall for that student-lecturerer conversation? “Professor there is an online porno that was filmed in the library.” “How do you know?” “Um… well… we just, found it… accidentally.”

La Trobe University insists that no permission was requested by Ms White and if it had been, it would have been denied. They have also confirmed they would be happy to work with the police if charges are laid.

Legal commentators have stated that it would be against the law to publish the pornographic footage online in Australia. And that if the couple had of being caught in the act, they would have been charged with “wilful and obscene” exposure in a public place.

The video was initially published by a Dutch company, AGW Entertainment, who released the trailer and film. It was removed on Monday and the company states that they are “very sorry that the filming and posting of the video may have offended members of the public”.

As far as porn film sets go, we think a library is pretty inventive. And while a little bit of permission goes a long way, you have to give Ms White marks for ingenuity, right? Although, without viewing the material, it’s hard to decide if she’ll be awarded a mere pass or whether she and her partner graduated with distinction.
