Remember Joey Donner? Well he's in a bit of trouble.

We guess all the warning signs were there in the movie…

You may not remember the name Andrew Keegan, but you’ll definitely remember the 90s heartthrob/clown Joey Donner who asked Bianca whether a black or white shirt made him appear more attractive.

Black, obviously. But that’s not the problem Andrew/Joey is facing now.

Since the movie's release in 1999, the 36-year-old has been very busy. He has launched a California-based spiritual movement called Full Circle, and opened his own churches. 

The only problem is, now he's in trouble with the law.

The group's 'spiritual centre' was raided last Friday for selling Kombucha, a fermented green and black tea concoction, illegally.

Will Salao, Special Agent with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Department in California said they had received multiple complaints that said Andrew and his group were selling the tea without a license.

Andrew disagrees with the complaints.

“They may be a complaint-driven agency, but we’re an intention-driven organisation and our intentions are pure,” he told Argonaut Online. “Kombucha is something we’d never imagine to be an illegal substance, and it’s frustrating the system has that perspective.

“We’re certainly taking full responsibility for co-creating the event. We try to put our best foot forward. We wanted to raise money for Sea Shepherd as a community; that’s how Full Circle operates,” he said.

“Such an abuse of tax payers money that 5 police officers would be sent to a temple???” he later wrote on Instagram.

We were wondering why Kombucha would require a license too. But it seems that the tea contains more than 0.5 per cent alcohol by volume, usually no more than around 1 per cent, but according to California law this classifies it as beer and is subject to the same laws.

We don't think his charming good looks will get him out of this one.
