And yes, we know that’s a bit of money to spend during this unprecedented time, but considering the original Thermomix retails for over $2000, it’s a serious bargain.

Let us explain why.

The humble Thermomix does it all. It can chop, saute, knead, boil and weigh everything for you.

This ALDI dupe comes with a 2.2 litre stainless steel bowl, built-in scale function, 800w motor, reverse function, and 1000w heating power, chopping blade and mixing tool. The only thing it’s missing that the original has is a built-in recipe book. However, it does comes with a recipe book separately.

When put to the test on an episode of A Current Affair last year, they found there was little difference between the original and the ALDI dupe.

Kim and Louise made the same banana muffins in both the $2089 original machine and the $299 ALDI machine. And, by the time they both finished baking the muffins, Kim confirmed the two machines work exactly the same. She even joked that her husband will want her to sell the expensive one.

So, there you have it.

Get running to ALDI on Saturday for your essential weekly shop, and grab the ALDI $299 Thermomix dupe while you're at it.
