A festive make-up look for the holiday season.

Merry dingin’ Christmas, as Belinda Carlisle once famously never sang.

I wish you all a tremendously happy, fun, safe festive time, and hope that Uncle Nige can keep his sherry intake capped at eight glasses this year, so we don’t have a repeat of “the incident.”

I’ve done a basic How To here, for a glamorous, high-gloss, eyes and lips combo, inspired by the new emphasis on both I’ve seen a lot lately.

My version is a gentle bronzed eyelid with a HIGH VOLTAGE! HIGH-SHINE! POP-POP! red lip. (In this instance, Tom Ford’s new Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Lost Cherry – the current superstar of the lip world.)

I also use:

Chanel Illusion D’ombre Eyeshadow in shade 82
Revlon CustomEyes Shadow & Liner

Try it for a party, or even on Christmas day, why don’t you? I highly encourage a festive lip on this Day of Days, even if you skip the fancy eye makeup and choose to wear a Santa Hat, as I am wont to do.

Til next year, you splendid rascals! X
