A Queensland woman has allegedly been stabbed to death by her partner.

A Queensland woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her partner overnight in another case of domestic violence.

After receiving a call reporting a disturbance at around 10.35pm, police attended the scene on St Ives Court in Kippa Ring, north of Brisbane.

Upon arrival the woman in her 20s was found in the driveway with multiple stab wounds to her chest and arms, and facial trauma.

Police performed CPR for 20 minutes until paramedics arrived at the scene and took over.

However due to the severity of her injuries, the woman went into cardiac arrest and died at the scene.

A 35-year-old man was also found at the house suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

Queensland police have advised that the man was transported to Redcliffe Hospital for treatment and has been charged with one count of murder.

Speaking to ABC News this morning, ambulance spokesman Brad Hardy said, “The patient had received multiple stab wounds, some to the chest and the arms, and also had wounds to her neck and substantial facial traumas.

“It is certainly a very graphic (scene) and is one of the worst situations that we’ve seen around this area for quite some time.”

Nearby neighbours of the couple said that the area was generally a friendly and non-violent one.

Police have taken witness statements overnight, and Detective Senior Sergeant Ben Fadian told reporters that the couple had been in a relationship for “some time”.
