Adelaide woman attacked by six men in balaclavas with hammers during break-in

Six men wearing balaclavas, black clothing and white surgical gloves and armed with hammers have attacked a woman during a break-in at Craigmore in Adelaide’s north overnight.

SA Police said the men forced their way into a Callana Court home about 10:20pm and assaulted the woman.

She was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital with leg injuries, including bruising, swelling, lacerations and a possible fracture.

Police said the men were wearing balaclavas, black clothing and white surgical gloves.

They were said to have “smashed property and left” the home.

A cream or tan four-wheel drive was seen leaving the street at the time of the offence, police said.

Officers are investigating and do not believe it was random incident.
