Should there be age restrictions on ‘intimate’ hair removal? Brazilians? Laser?
Do you like this story?
I think my first bikini wax was in high school. NOT a Brazilian bikini wax. No siree bob. Such things didn’t even exist back then. It wasn’t about sex if I recall correctly but about, you know, bikinis. And not wanting to look like a yetti when I went to the beach.
But those were the days before Brazilians. And laser. Hair removal was SIMPLER then. And somehow more private. Less discussed.
Ah those innocent days before we all had images of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton’s bare lady gardens etched in our pop cultural psyche (or is that just me?)
Apparently, there is a huge market for Brazilians among teenage girls. Worse, there are girls wanting to get EVERYTHING removed. With laser. Pubic hair buh-bye. Forever.
MM reader Keira wrote to me recently…
I went and had a Brazilian wax yesterday and was chatting with the beautician when she mentioned that some teenage girls are getting waxed before they have even lost their virginity because their boyfriends tell them that they wont sleep with them unless they are waxed down there.
I was shocked to say the least.
Two things concern me: The fact that the girls are being pressured into this. They already have enough insecurities about their bodies. And that the beauticians don’t seem to have any age restrictions in intimate waxing, shouldn’t it at least be 16yrs and over? There are age restrictions for intimate piercings, but I think it varies from state to state, 16yrs to 18. I know in WA it is 18.
Surely there should be an age restriction for intimate waxing?
Gosh balls, I wouldn’t like to be the politician who has to draft proposed legislation about pubic hair. Would you? Imagine the detailed descriptions it would involve and the liberal use of words like “labia”.
Hands up which political party wants to get behind that? Oh look, everyone’s left the room.
I don’t know if legislation is necessarily the answer for everything. In this case, perhaps we just need to have more open conversations in magazines and on websites like this one and with our daughters and our mothers about…..well, pubic hair.
When did it become such a shocking, awful scourge that needed to be exterminated? When did it stop becoming the way that we physically acknowledge the difference between girls and women?
We discuss pubic hair relatively frequently here. Or the lack of it. It never gets tired.
Do you wax? Laser? Are you a Brazilian?Have your attitudes changed as you’ve become older? When did your hair removal career begin?
Meanwhile, here’s a cute ad about pubic hair that’s safe for work or home if kiddies are around.

I think maybe under 16 … I don’t know. I feel like it shouldn’t be banned because it’s personal preference and if some one wants to by golly they have the right.
I guess all we can do is try to prevent it by making girls more aware of their voice in a relationship, and stop the bikini waxing at the source … the pressure put on by the boyfriends.

I’m 16 (turning 17 in September) and I plan on getting a brazilian wax in a few days. I usually shave my pubic region but I am SO sick of shaving it. I been doing it for years. I do have a long term boyfriend that I been sexually active with for 2 years now and he doesn’t care if im shaved or not at all(I usually wait a while in between shaving). But im getting a brazilian wax because as a personal preference I like the feeling. I feel cleaner and I am very big on hygiene…so yeah. I think It is okay for teens to get it done. I believe the age limit should be 16+ for the pubic region to be waxed w/o parental consent.
However, my personal preference for a guy is I like them to be hairy. My boyfriend shaved for me a few times but I did not like it. I just don’t like the feeling of his skin being bare.

Hey guys you think our rugs get in the way, what about foreskin? I find it ironic that in this day and age we have deemed circumcision inhumane but bald pussy hygenic and sexy. Yeah that’s right neat and enticing because you can see all the action! Action, you want action get rid of your skin so we don’t have to put up with dirty bits, or is that cruel and inhumane.
P.S no I’m not an angry man hating woman, have tried bald bits and it was painful and then when I saw everthing thought I needed my curtains trimmed!

Ms 20 & Ms 17 think that body hair is abhorrent on male or female.
I am a 48 yo male with ample (greying) chest hair. Ms 20 & Ms 17 insisted on me getting my chest waxed before they would go to the beach with me, whilst on a trip to QLD.
I must admit it probably took 15 years off my looks. Trish said she liked the look but preferred a ‘more manly chest of hair”.
I don’t know what is driving this fashion that only the hair on your head can stay but young boys and girls both seem to be going for it.

that is the chirpiest and funniest video about pubic hair removal i have ever seen! awesome

this topic was brought up in the most recent (in the US) episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Dr Miranda Baily and Callie Torres were discussing ‘preparing the surgical field’ before a date.
LOVE Bailey’s attitude. An ep to look forward to when it airs here

I have a bikini line that goes from my knees to my belly button, monthly waxes (even in winter!) are the only thing that keeps it from becoming an attractive habitat for small marsupials. Even after almost 3 decades of waxing it is still a substantial bush. Darling husband loves the landing strip but it took me a looooong while to get to it (at 38 I was well past a teenager that is for sure!!).
As for the trend for the younger ladies for it all to be off, frankly that scares me. If they do it all now, what is left to discover later on? Not doubt yet another conversation to have with Miss 11, although hopefully when she is at least Miss 16!

A girlfriend of mine got her whole Lady garden lasered years back in her 20s. She really regrets it now because there are men who find no hair quite repulsive. At least with waxing you can grow it back! Should these young girls be under pressure – hell no but they’ve grown up in a crazy generation lacking boundaries, been given everything and with some very mixed-up messages.
I grew up in a generation that said “Girls can do anything” not Girls will do anything for a boy who demands. Sad
loading...
I think thats very prudish to not let young girls get Brazilians. Why does it matter? I think young girls more than anyone want to remove that hair because they arent used to having it! I remember over a decade ago all my girlfriends and I shaving it as soon as it pretty much began to appear. This was around the same time we started shaving our legs too. 10-12… Doesn’t mean they are having sex! I’ve waxed ever since first removing it and am now going through a laser course to have it gone forever. I did wonder if I should have it gone permanently – what if hair becomes in fashion? lol But figure if I havn’t wanted it since it appeared like most women I know then definitely do it. Plus its only $70 for underarm and down there! Waxing is $50-$60 and you have to go once a month. I go to Laser by Sia in bondi theyre really nice!
loading...
I think it should definitely be illegal under 16. I can not see any reason on godds green earth why a child should remove any hair.
I fail to really see why anyone should. Women have bushes. I don’t do anything and I am happy for other grown women to do whatever sexually floats their boat, as long as its not because a man or a girlfriend or anyone else thinks they should.
loading...
Porn has a lot to answer for – my beautician tells me that young men will often buy their unwilling girlfriends a Brazilian.
My 12 year old daughter’s best friend was told by her mum that shaving your legs and underarms is part of growing up and being a woman.
I’m trying to hold the line re my daughter but finding it difficult as there seems to be an assumption that every women shaves/waxes/ lasers
I started waxing my underarms at age 35 after the horrified looks of other women at the gym. My bloke couldn’t care less, and in fact finds hair quite sexy.
loading...
started on my first round of laser today!! was no where near as painful as waxing! i cant shave as i have a bad reaction, so waxing next best option, but still after years it still would bring tears to my eyes… can never figure out why i could get through child birth drug free but a bikini wax!! ouch ouch ouch…
in some cases i think young girls would be better off with waxing ie dancers, gymnists, swimmers… but doing it for boys and sex… that seems very wrong…
loading...
Hmmmm well that is interesting….I really do not know what to think about this.
But then again, the idea of a Brazilian wax freaks me out.
1. PAINFUL
2. Really embarrassing
3. I love not being 10 years old

I have to say after reading all of these comments – people are really very willing to share their intimate details here… I’m a little surprised but I guess Mia you have created a “safe place” where honesty reigns supreme!

I was in a salon in the eastern suburbs once and two young girls came in in their school uniforms to book brazilians. I was squicked.
I occasionally shave or use depilatory cream as a bit of a surprise for my friend with benefits but it’s not something routine. I never did it as a teenager.
I think an age restriction would be ok, but more importantly we need to be teaching young girls that it’s ok to have pubic hair and it should be a personal choice, stuff the boys!
loading...
oh man, could never imagine getting waxed ‘down there’ jeez had my eyebrows done once and just that one time was enough to turn me off for life. I do a quick ‘down shave’ in the shower (going with the hair rather than against which gives me awful ingrowns). I’ve tried depilatory cream but that doesn’t do much except give you a big stink (of chemicals! Chemicals!) and I have a bikini trimmer which is useful. I’ve just invested in a No!No! which is a trimmer thing with a heat thing and basically it burns the hair and reduces it from growing back. It’ll take a few months to notice but so far so good, the burning smell is a bit off so I just open the window in the bathroom and put the oil burner on. Geez I wish it was acceptable for us to be bushy, down there, our eyebrows, arms… I’d have so much more free time

well i would like to say i like it bushy

my best friends daughter floored me the other day when she declared to us that all her friends [ herself included] get brazzies for the boys ….sad but true….all for the boys….

I think it would be the right thing to do for any beauty or waxing salon to place a minimum age limit on teenage girls getting bikini waxes. Surely it’s not a necessary thing to do prior to 16? Any younger than that & I would be thinking the ‘girl’ (not woman!)could possibly be doing it for reasons that need to be talked about openly with her Mum.
It’s a shame that society now tells us that pubic hair on women is such a gross thing and must be eliminated. I swear many teenagers are getting it done for no other reason than they think it will make them sexy and more attractive to the opposite sex.
loading...
I am a lesbian (43) and my partner is a bit younger, in our group of friends no-one shaves their muff/get a brazilian. That is not to say ALL lesbians feel the same way but I guess we were all young feminists in the 80′s and we considered shaving to be something heterosexuals did for men and not really for themselves however much they say they do. Therefore I have just never needed to spend time/money on pubic clipping. I am self concious enough in the wide world to wear boy leg swimmers however. While oral sex might be fun with no hair for a change I think the infantalised look would just put me off – because my community’s cultural message has always been ‘hairy muff=real woman’ ! All these choices around body image (for straights and gays) are just cultural conditioning, but from the other side of the fence it does appear that straight women are often restricted by men’s image preferences and left to their own devices they wouldnt pay money/spend time on being plucked. We have a little girl and I am sad that she will probably have to deal with a lot of peer pressure over the hair issue as a young woman. I am not naive enough to think she won’t feel the need to shave/pluck when everyone else is but hopefully she will know she has choices
loading...
There is hope. I was talking to my neighbour yeseterday, a gorgeous 15yo girl and was thrilled to notice that she doesnt shave her legs. She’s into fashion, facebook, has an iphone etc so she’s not a geek. Maybe the peer pressure amongst teenage girls these days isnt as bad as it was when we were younger.
loading...
Stop Press. It is no longer cool to wax. Having hair is back in. The natural look is the one to have. All you waxers, pluckers, lasers and shavers are soooo uncool.
loading...
First off everyone has facebook, probably an iphone, and must be into fashion to some degree. You have to be joking about peer pressure is not so bad these days. These are the days where they all agree to loose their virginity by a certain time, or be pregnant all together. But really how is this ageism thing really adding up? Just 100 years ago the average age of someone getting married was what 12-16? Most of you who are against this are feminist nazis who are just jealous of your younger counterparts.
loading...
Oh I love that add!! Used it as one of my references in a media assignment when I was doing my undergrad degree last year… Love all the subtle and not-so subtle pubic hair references!!
Anyone else pick up the “tulips on the mound” reference?
As for my thoughts- Under the age of 15, I think it’s up to mothers and daughters to decide together what’s best for them. Once a girl is about 15-16 I think it’s up to her in the end- but advice from her mother or a close female friend isn’t going to go astray. A lot of girls become sexually active at the age of 15-16 so I think to an extent pubic hair “maintenance” is an extension of this, however a lot of girls this age and younger just don’t want “bushy bits” sticking out of their bather bottoms on the beach- so that’s a thing to consider also.
loading...
When I was a teenager I was so anxious about pubic hair (and everything else) that I plucked the little buggers out with tweezers. Luckily I wasn’t very hairy.
In my late teens and through my 20s with a little more money in my pocket I became obsessed with the total grooming thing. Brazillians were a revelation and I was bald and mighty pleased with it.
When I was pregnant it just felt wrong so I let it grow back for the sake of my Doctor.
These days I ride horses, and I have to say that the brazillian is NOT an option. You really need a little furry padding down there!
Having had a gazillion years practice at it and trying every different option, I would never go for laser removal. The pain involved is ridiculous! I got halfway through and said “that’ll do thanks, I don’t mind being hairy on one side!”
My preference is epilation; you can do it as often as you like. The results are better than waxing, and you take off as much or as little as you like.
As for kids doing it, I don’t know. I hope that this is just a phase we are going through. The whole porn thing probably has a lot to do with it, but probably now that it has become the norm something new will come along to suck us all in. Let’s see, laser treatment, followed by stylised pube tattoos perhaps..
loading...
Oh gosh. I didn’t even need a bikini wax when I was a teenager! Unfortunately, that’s noooooooooooooooot the truth anymore.
I go Brazilian, but I do let it go too long in between, because I’m a wimp… Last time I went for the deep bikini, only to be told by the Russian beautician: ‘Next time you book Brazilian ok? Don’t be scaredy cat, is only one more strip anyway’.
My husband loves it so much, that I was saying: ‘You should do the back, crack and sack of I have to do this!’ He said if I loved that as much as he loves Brazilians, then he’d do it in a flash for me. I didn’t expect that…
loading...
Can I also just say: Who are these teenage boys refusing sex until it’s waxed?
A) That’s an absolutely disgusting attitude to women and
B) What teenage boy refuses sex?!
Must have changed a bit since my day when having a heart beat was the major criteria!
loading...
I have brazilian waxes, have done so for the last year. I’m 34. I love the feel of it, and while originally I couldn’t give a stuff what husband thought, luckily he likes it too. And if teenage boys are demanding a hair-free zone, they need to harden the hell up (no pun intended) & be grateful for getting any action at all.
My husband likes to tend to his own man garden now though & keeps it nice and trim and neat. It puts a bit of pressure on me to do the same. When he is away I feel a sort of release knowing I dont have to shave my legs or be up to date with the waxing. I really do love the feel of it, but it is yet another thing on the ever growing must-do list.
loading...
”harden the hell up” fuck thats the funniest ..
loading...
I’ve never had a brazilian – too chicken. I do have the occasional bikini wax to tidy up if i’m going to be spending time in bathers, but mostly just a quick trim in the shower does me. I have never once had a guy complain about it – or even mention it. In my experience, they’re so grateful they’re getting laid they don’t care.
I’m a firm believer of doing things for yourself, never for anyone else. If teenage girls feel the need for other reasons, and have the cash to get it done, I say why not? Obviously that does not include children – 16 or under.

Something new and beyond the world of waxing which I discovered today: vajazzling, which is basically replacing pubic hair with diamontes.

“Some teenage girls are getting waxed before they have even lost their virginity”
Ok please forgive me for quoting 90210 and Tori Spelling but this comment reminds me of the episode of that TV show where the character Donna (who was infamously a virgin at the time) was mocked by all her friends for buying sexy sleepwear. What’s the point of buying lingerie if you’re not sleeping with anyone, her friends all asked?
This post implies the same message: that unless you’re sexually active there’s no point in having bikini waxes or buying lingerie. As though women only do these things because of a man. Ok, so having a boyfriend/husband might help on the bedroom front, but it’s not the only incentive for a woman to feel good about herself and want to feel sexy.
So I don’t find anything strange about having a brazilian before you lose your virginity. Why are the two even connected?
loading...
Hmmm, interesting comment. I liked it.
loading...
I’d have to agree with this, I was single for a long time and I kept it up, because I like it better personally. If I liked it natural, I’d go for that too, partner or no. It’s definitely because I prefer it, it hurts too much to be done for any reason in my opinion!
loading...
“Why are the two even connected?”
(a) It indicates how young they are;
(b) It defeats the purpose of these girls/women saying “sex feels better without the hair” – because they have nothing to compare it to;
(c) As for (b) but replace with “boys/men”;
loading...
I can’t even make a comment about lazering or waxing, I’m totally speechless at the concept of teenage boys refusing to have sex!I would have thought it would take a lot more than a few pubes to put them off.

Mine goes as I do a LOT of sport and I’m a sweaty betty. Even when single, it goes, any gent has had no say in the matter, always did trim close, but these days it’s less of a landing strip than a Hitler tash.
Which gets a giggle seeing as where I live…
Ha ha about those that believe Europeans are still hairy. Things have changed. I’ll often see an all off wax paired with piercings and hairy pits. Which I don’t understand to be honest.
Germany is less hairy than it was. A LOT less hairy.
My gent’s hairy chest is my *happy place*, I love resting my face on it, so warm and soft and ahhhhhhhhh. Love it.
loading...
OMG! I LUUURVE a good welcome mat! That is, a guys hairy chest. I find it quite disturbing when a guy chooses to lose it, all that manly manliness mmmm…
I’m with you KIE, I’ve also always been very active AND a sweaty betty, so even when not bedroom active I still keep up with the personal maintenance!
loading...
Personally, I used to wax my own bikini area when I was younger because I didn’t want to be that girl standing there while everyone points and screams “PUBE GIRL PUBE GIRL!” – That would be SO FRICKEN SHIT!
For full on brazilian waxes, I think 15 should be the legal “age”, after all, it’s just hair. It grows back!
loading...
Hi interesting reading all this. I’m naturally pretty hairy and as I have got older and in menopause have had to have fortnightly face waxing which is a pain but necessary for confidence. However the brazilian is just something I wouldn;t put up with although do a bikini wax and trim with scissors when needed. Why? hair down there is pretty natural and with teenage daughters would feel pretty weird to be hairless. maybe it is an age thing – I sometimes yearn for the good old feminist days of the 70′s and 80′s where you could let it all hang out and didn;t have to worry about underarm hair or hairy legs. all this maintenance is such a pain!! luckily the current boyfriend likes the natural look. but if he didn;t I think it would be bad luck! at 51 it is what is natural and comfortable for me!
loading...
where are the parents??? If I was a beautician even if it wasn’t law I’d still ask for parent’s permission before doing anything permanent.
loading...
I was only 15 when i got a brazillian, purely my own choice, thought it would be something to try, and lets just say its 3 years on and im never, ever going back.
loading...
I got a Brazilian for my bf, I’d always wanted one out of curiosity. After I got it, I realized how inconvenient it was to go to the public toilet and half squat. So I’d say I prefer having hair down there, even if it is just for a cleaner and easier public toilet experience.
On the same topic, but bearing no relevance to my own abovementioned experience, I’ll always remember my aunty telling me how pubic hair was the symbol of being a woman, and that I shouldn’t get rid of it (this of course was in response to my suggestion of hair removal down there), and then my grandma piped in with how one of our relos was ridiculed by her hubby for naturally not having any pubes (she’s old). So yea I don’t understand the aversion towards pubes in our generation.
loading...
I’m sorry I don’t understand your comment about the cleaner and easier public toilet experience with hair down there?
I vary between bare or a more natural style and my own preference is bare (nothing to do with a guy) and I do feel a bit ‘cleaner’ when there’s nothing down there but that’s just my thing..
I cannot see how this would affect whether you squat or not? Please explain?!
loading...
i think jenny has a lot of hair, and can therefore use it as a cushion on the toilet :p
im kiddiiiiing!! sorry jenny
loading...
ok this is gonna get rather graphic, but u asked for it.
Anonymous person: what i meant by ‘cleaner and easier’ public toilet experience was u know when you first start to urinate and there’s not a lot of force, the urine actually goes alone the contours of your skin and kind of goes everywhere instead of inside the toilet bowl. seriously it ended up on the seat or even worse on my legs and pants. i just found when there was hair there, it guided the beginning and end of the trickle downwards (and into the bowl!) rather than everywhere else.
@clarinette: no i’m not hairy. I’m not hairy at all! I would like more hair actually.

Haha. cute video. very wierd indeed. Anyway, i am 17 and recently i got stripped of my womanhood. I was always curious as to what a brazillian may feel like… and it was strange! As usual, the boyfriend thought it might be fun(ner for him). i wanted to know what it was like so i gave it a go
And, i have to admit, from a males perspective… i can definately see the logic, but as payback… he had to wax his chest (ha-ha). i think that its a bit scarey that anyone would want to have laser hair removal on their (gasp) vaginas!. At the moment, im sure being bare down there is a bit of a trend, and yeah, your right… its like getting a tattoo… it cant REALLY be reversed (i wonder if you could get hair growth therapy or something???) Also, i have heard that the laser in that area COULD prevent you from being able to have babies… science hasn’t been able to prove either outcome yet though. i think, all people who wish to have their hair removed (for any reason, personal, partner or whatever) should just go and get it waxed off. it doesnt hurt THAT much (who am i kidding? it hurts like a bitch… but id rather be able to have babies or hair), its less expensive than laser and who knows… in 5, 10, maybe even 20 years it may be fashionable to have a little bit (or alot) of coverage

Girls are just doing what most women are now days. It’s called peer pressure and even us grown women are suseptable to it. i’ve done it and I think it is slighty crazy. I was so embarassed about it I grew it back to have babies. Didn’t want Dr’ seeing a bare vagina. Little did I know Most are bare these day.
Now I flat out refuse to do it. I like neatly trimmed hair and get my bikini waxed but I’m keeping it. I’m my protest. I want my girl to know it is normal.
Girls will stop doing it when the fashion goes the other way. Back to natural.
I find it strange how people think pubic hair is dirty. It’s natural and it is such a shame social trends have made people feel this way.

I was a late developer and when pubic hair arrived on the scene I tried to take it off as quickly as it grew. It took until my early 20s for a bikini wax to even be necessary and by that stage I was getting it all taken off every few months. My partner has volunteerd to have their’s removed if I want them to because I remove mine (which has always been my decision). I couldn’t be that cruel though, I have an idea about how much it hurts…
loading...
I volunteered to get my pubic hair removed for my wife. I thought it was only fair because she went to a lot of effort for me. Anyway, after the first wax, there was no going back. That was over a year ago. The only problem now is that she hates me being hairy in between waxes.
loading...
I agree with the idea of legislation for permanent hair removal. Surely any permanent alteration to a young girl’s body is better left until they’re older? There are laws in place for tatoos and plastic surgery…
Loved that clip btw! However, I don’t like the idea of hair going all the way back if you know what I mean, so I get a bikini wax to the front and a brazillian for the rest. Too much information?
Personally, I think I look better with a bit of hair. I can’t stand the idea of having just a ‘landing strip’ or a heart shape or something, I firmly prefer the girl on the left
loading...
and i always thought a bikini wax was a product for girls to rub over their bikini so they could slide over the waves a lot faster!!
loading...
i thought about this the other day. Waxing is one thing I guess, but it’s pointless for teens to get laser…They’ll get it all zapped off and might then have a hormonal change during puberty which will result in a new cycle of hair coming through-might as well wait until they are in their 20′s, finished puberty and old enough to decide to make such a permanent decision.

I tried to get a Brazilian once, it hurt so much I left with a “Portugese” as my husband called it. Young girls are growing up so fast these days, I didn’t shave my legs or underarms until I was 16!

Gotta love the pubic hair discussions, recently i was at my “laser lady” doing some gardening of my own adn she asked me the strangest question. She has a client who is of a particular religion and wants to get her daughter lasered downstairs. So her question was would it be ok the kid is 12 yrs old i thought it would be ok with permission but then she tells me the kid is Autistic i almost died and i had no answer. Maybe it has all gotten out of control
loading...
see my comment above- there is no point to get laser as a 12 year old! You get lots of new hair coming in cycles as you go through your teens! She’ll just have to get it all done over again when she’s in her 20′s!

I’m guessing by you saying ‘of a certain religion” that’s your PC way of saying Muslim? Look past the scarf and think about the person. The mum said girl is Autistic. I’d say it has more to do with the mum having to deal with cleaning and hygine at period time that it does with religion. I’m not saying its the right thing for a 12 year old, but to think it’s a religious based decision just because she was, as you said, ‘of a certain religion’ is just ignorant.
loading...
I agree Jaz. I work with autistic adults and if the autistm is on the extreme end, they don’t always have the understanding to clean themselves properly. Being a parent to a disabled child/adult is a difficult job and as puberty hits it gets trickier. As for religious reasons, there is religious freedom but the beautician should probably have the right to refuse if she is that uncomfortable with it.

My ‘lady garden’ is naturally unruly. With shaving the regrowth outside the bikini area would be noticeable at the beach within hours of the morning shave & shower, it is just too thick and dark. Being a ‘sook’, the thought of waxing is way too painful to consider, i hate my eyebrows. So hubby 1 yr got me a voucher for laser. This, whilst it is not a walk in the park is over in 6 mins & needs about 8 sessions at 6week gaps, was a life saver! Cost = $800, but given a brazilian wax is $50 that ‘payback is quite quick as the hair NEVER grows back. Looking to get my underarms done next as like Mia’s post I HATE shaving them….!

I feel your pain. I’ve nearly finished getting my brazilian laser sessions, and underarms…have moved onto legs and feet! (yes feet!)
Its exciting for me…up till now, even straight after I shaved my legs and arms I still looked hairy…
walk a mile in the shoes of a hairy darked haired girl (who was called gorilla in primary school) before casting judgment on those of us who choose to laser I say!

I decided to try getting a Brazilian wax a few years ago because a friend of mine said that it felt great. The young lady that did it for me gave me the chice of going the full Monty or leaving a “landing strip”.. I opted for the “landing strip”. Anyhow, I went home and thought my partner would find it really sexy. Was I in for a shock!! He hated it! He felt so uncomfortable with it because it reminded him of his own daughter when she was little and he begged me not to have it done again. I was totally OK with that, in fact I was quite relieved.

Yeah, I’m actually with your partner!! I find the whole thing a little disturbing as the only people who walk around without pubic hair naturally are those who are pre-pubescent, and I think that it’s really strange that people would want to look like that. I don’t buy into the whole “it’s clean” arguement… what’s wrong with a shower?
