Kate Winslet splits from husband by mutual agreement

British actress Kate Winslet has reportedly split from her director husband Sam Mendes, a law firm confirmed today.
London-based Schillings revealed that the Oscar winner, 34, separated from Mendes, 44, earlier this year.
In a statement, the law firm claimed that the split was “entirely amicable” and “by mutual agreement”.
“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year,” the statement said.
“The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.
“They ask that the media respect the privacy of the family.”
Winslet married Mendes in 2003, and they have a six-year-old son, Joe, together.
